Sint-Nicolaas zal in dit geval moeten bewijzen dat hij de enige echte is en een bedrieger noodzakelijkerwijze
moeten ontmaskeren. Daarbij is alles geoorloofd, mits uitsluitend gebruik wordt gemaakt van de bij de Sint-
Nicolaasuitmonstering behorende attributen. Zo is het gebruik van het koord toegelaten teneinde de
bedrieger vast te snoeren, alsmede de roe om als slagwapen te functioneren.

Te allen tijde
moet worden vermeden dat Sint-Nicolaas eruit ziet of hij zojuist uit diepe slaap is gewekt dan wel recent met
zijn vingers in een wandcontactdoos heeft gezeten.
